The design over at loudervoice.com

November 7th, 2006 | Posted in Blog

I just commented over at Eirepreneur that you should pay no attention to the design of the landing page at loudervoice.com. That is literally the default page in any TurboGears app with the text changed. In fact the server is not even running TG yet. We'll do that when we add a sign-up for beta facility in the coming weeks.

I know the page is only a 'holding page' but lads, seriously, could you not put your e-mail address into proper clickable format instead of "info at loudervoice dot com"?? I understand why people use that on blogs and personal pages, but it's bad form for a business....

Sorry for the rant, it's all this time I've spent recently looking at bad websites thanks to the golden spiders.... grrr! ;-)

Ach, good point, it's a pretty old fashioned anti-spam device at this stage. I'll go one better and put the full hCard on the site later so you can pull all of the contact details into Outlook with one click.

Hi Conor. I think you're doing the right thing with the holding page but why not add an email capture form at this stage and you can announce the launches etc. Not everyone will keep in touch via your blog so you may get a few 'strays'.

Thanks Peter, email capture coming real soon!
