The current version of the Wordpress Rich Text Editor causes us "some pain" due to its mangling of things like divs which we use in our microformats markup. We're interested to know what percentage of Wordpress users (both wordpress.com and hosted wordpress.org) actually use it. Here's a little PollDaddy poll to that end:

I voted No, never. I am a web-dev though and live and dream HTML. I find the RTE slow, cumbersome and it just gets in my way.
Hi Conor
I just voted 'No'. I always install PHP Markdown Extra with Wordpress and give people a 10 minute tutorial on how to write Markdown. Even my mum can now insert images, and even make tables just by writing Markdown. I think Markdown should be taught at primary school
Good to see LouderVoice coming on in leaps and bounds.
If it worked better and was faster, I'd be happy to use it for some of my blogging but like a lot of people I find it just gets in the way in its current form. Never used Markdown! Stuck in wiki style at the minute.
I do, is that bad? I just cant be bothered with the code and its nice and pretty with pictures and spacing.
Could it be screwing up my site though?
No not bad at all, I'm genuinely interested in the usage profile.
If tons of people use it (even partially) then we'll put a lot more effort into working around its current problems.
I use it, but I absolutely hate the thing. Its bondage and discipline, I know best approach to rewriting your HTML drives me spare. Must control fist of death...
Anyone else get bitten regularly by the slow-backspace slow-backspace arrggh fast-backspace deleting everything I just wrote?
I'll show people how to use it and warn them against the possible difficulties (especially when it comes to paragraph breaks and divs) but I'll never actually use it myself. Prefer the quick-fire no-frills approach to making a blog post.
