The hype over Avatar was only matched by that of the iPad so it was guaranteed to disappoint. Which it did.
Smurfohontas sums it up perfectly. A technical marvel even tho I just found the 3D distracting, with a nonsense story.
Having said that, the three kids I brought aged 6, 8 and 10 sat through it all with none of their usual fidgeting so it had something for the young uns.
Will I ever watch it again? No. Am I glad I saw it? Sure.
