As someone who avoids seafood like it's Mass, I had to be coericed into attending a work lunch at the Seagrass Restaurant on Richmond St. last Tuesday. However, it transpired that I had no reason to be such a reluctant diner, as the place is a diamond in the rough.
5 of my 7 colleagues chose seafood options and remarked how impressed they were. Likewise the 2 others that decided upon chicken dishes. Myself; I went for the lamb, which was lean, tender and deliciously hot, served in a bowl. I also ordered a bowl of their "real fries", which were seasoned with sea salt. They hit the spot!
The presentation of all the dishes was creative, with a friendly and effecient service. Lunch specials are also on offer, and the prices are reasonable.
Overall a pleasant experience. I look forward to dining in Seagrass again soon.
