I noticed that Twenty Major's book got some bad reviews in the newspapers which didn't put me off buying it. As a regular reader of the blog I know what to expect and I wasn't disappointed at all. The same style of writing runs through the book as the blog and the jokes are as wonderfully corny and the language as foul as you would expect. There are some brilliant one liners and while the plot is pretty ridiculous I think that's the whole point. It's meant to be and he makes no attempt to try and keep things grounded. If you like the blog then you'll love the book. You get to learn more about Twenty and the other major characters and there are some great new characters too. One taxi driver in particular stands out but I won't spoil it for anyone else. You'll see what I mean! Overall I really enjoyed it and I can't wait for the second one. Go buy it.

I have to admit I was avoiding it. I've always found the blogposts involving those characters to be Twenty's weakest work. He's at his best on a good old fashioned rant. Still, your review is making me think again about having a look.
