Friday night pizza just got a whole lot easier with online ordering from ExtremePizza.com.
The ordering process is simple - head to the website, pick from one of their many premade pizzas or choose to custom build your own one. You can choose a variety of toppings, bases, sizes, go half and half as well as variety of extras (the boneless wings with honey bbq sauce are to die for).
Delivery time takes about 45 minutes (average, so they say) but the whole experience from online ordering right down to the quality of the pizza itself (perfect blend of the base, tomato sauce and my extras of pepperoni, green peppers, jalapenos, red onion and minced garlic) has given me a new place to get my weekend takeaway from.
As a bonus, the pizza box contained a small tub of chili flakes if you wanted to spice things up a bit, as well as a small tub of extra cheese.
You'll get your receipt emailed to you, the driver actually reads the special instructions in the email (finding my house is sometimes overlooked on deliveries) and the prices are on a relative par with other pizza outlets in Kilkenny. I've yet to try the sit-in in their restaurant on Barrack Street but for now the delivery will do just nicely.
They're also getting involved in the Savour Kilkenny food festival (October 2008) with pizza making classes for kids, something which should be both messy and interesting at the same time.
