I really don't think there is a bad recipe in the whole Gubbeen range of sausages. I had the cumberland for breakfast this morning and it was jammed with flavour and spice. A real ten out of ten for me. Scally's SuperValu in Clonakilty stocks a wide selection of their products.

Gubeen sausages are one of the few ranges that have some varieties with very low rusk/fillers for those of use who are trying to avoid carbs. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. I like the Breakfast sausages as they are smaller and quicker to cook. The others are larger and must be cooked longer or the insides are a bit raw. I cut them in half as I have no patience to gobble them down!
Extra points to Scally's for carrying them -- Dunnes has a very poor selection of sausages. I am working my way through most of the lines and hard pressed to find anything equal to what they have at Scally's.

The success of Scallys in the face of the arrival of Dunnes should be a case-study for small supermarkets everywhere. I honestly haven't been in Dunnes in Clon in more than 18 months but I'll drive to Scallys from Bandon. The other great thing about Gubbeen is that Fingal is such a sound bloke if you meet him in the Gastrowagon at any of the Farmer's Markets.
