Since 1999, I have spent more than €2000 in the Italian Connection and I don't regret a single moment in the restaurant. I've seen it refurbished but watched the main staff hang tight and deliver the hottest pizza (Testarosa) that I ever munched while consistently producing the very best cannelloni offered in the Republic of Ireland. The only complaint I have about Italian Connection is that even though I'm a regular--sometimes twice a week--I could never jump the queue during the Kilkenny Arts Festival. That's a shame because on several occasions, I had told my American visitors that I was going to show them the best Italian food in Ireland. That claim might be overstated but one thing is for sure--you get good value for money in Italian Connection and I have never been disappointed with the mains or wine offered me and my guests in the restaurant.
