Really very disappointing . Room not cleaned till 5pm in the day. Yes that's right, 5pm in the day despite the fact we requested it cleaned up to 3 times and even complained to Management. twice Staff seem too busy to give you the personal touch. Doors not sound proof and noise in the corridoors keep you awake at night. Would not stay there again. Eastern European staff on the desk could not equate that Don is short for Donald so when our relatives who rang five times tried to contact us at the Hotel they were told we were not staying there by the staff on reception, who seem too busy to give a damn in any case. We missed our relatives from America who we arranged to meet in Dublin. Mirror cracked in the room and iron not working. Room not cleaned properly. Stay somewhere else if you want a personal touch as you will not get it here. The standard answer from staff when something is wrong is "sorry, we are very busy".

Wow. The Clarion in Cork is loved by so many people, it's amazing that they could own something that is so poor. Whilst I've had issues with rooms etc in hotels, I usually forgive them when the staff are good. But I never ever return to hotels with obnoxious staff.
