IE8(Beta)

Is it just me or is IE8 (beta) making a mess of displaying websites that display perfectly in IE7.. I ve been to microsoft websites that are messed up (until you use the compatability view) not to mention Google.ie and at least 10% of our older websites.   ...what a mess.. every new IE browser version is putting further workload on designers and developers. It's no wonder that warnings are appearing all over the place about IE6 not being suppported by some websites/apps., but try taking that line with a design customer...
