Vendemia Organic Wines

The evenings are drawing in and the kids have started thumbing toy catalogues. In the kitchen the cupboards have suddenly started to fill with currants, raisins and marzipan. All of which got me thinking - I really should get some nice wine in!
Living in rural West Cork, the ranges available in the local small shops are somewhat limited so I looked online and was pleasantly surprised to find Vendemia Wines. They have a small but excellent selection of organic wines (and a few sherries if you've got your slippers on)! Urs the owner responded quickly to email questions. After I'd made my selection and paid the wine was dispatched within an hour and delivered the next day.
I won't go into detail on the wines I ordered (although I can highly recommend the Sherry Dorado Sierra Morena Seco - absolutely delicious with some nuts before dinner.
The prices for these organic wines aren't the cheapest but it's well worth it for the extra quality and for the knowledge that you're supporting ecologically sensitive and sustainable wine production which is good for the vineyard owners and the wildlife in the area. There's also evidence that organic grapes have more flavour as they grow and ripen more slowly.
So if you're feeling like treating yourself this Christmas I can highly recommend Vendemia wines.
