Livestation is a way of watching TV on your computer and Livestation is aimed primarily at newsjunkies (like me) but it has the ability of adding extra channels. Livestation is parterned with BBC, Al Jazeera and France 24 among others.
I found livestation easy to install and to use. It is also very easy to add channels to the player once you get started. It has a huge range of TV and Radio channels avilible to be added, there is over 3500 channels! Registering to use it couldnt be easier just an email address and a password and you are all set to go. The majority of the channels are free to add and their is also some pay per view channels, but none are availible in Ireland at the moment.
Livestation also incorporates news alerts from the major broadcasters as well as a chat function which creates an interesting back channel to international affairs.
I find livestation to be a useful tool and one I will be using to keep up to date with goings on aswell as keeping me to up date on goings on with alerts. Do give it a try.
