Well she finally showed her true colours. A woman whose entire political career has been dedicated entirely to her political career couldn't be arsed getting out of bed on a Sunday to be the Maryland coach. I was thrilled that they won, just to stick it to the old spoofer.
Sure it's just reality TV, but these guys are taking it seriously. It means something to them. With two fingers to all their hard work, the pompous old battleaxe walked off the pitch in the middle of training because she had something far more important to do: talk her usual know-it-all bluster and hot-air on RTE.
My only disappointment is that she is now in the Senate. I'm guessing the collected Westmeath GAA supporters would show her what they think of her idea of commitment if she had to run for election again.
Baz, what a revelation. He has heart, he has passion, he has drive. I take it back, he's not just a himbo. I felt terribly sorry for Wickla losing but it was a pretty even game of football with neither team playing really well.
Marty Whelan was Marty Whelan but with less of the usual slick stuff that annoys everyone under the age of 60. Seems like a genuinely nice man. Lacks the passion of Baz but clearly wanted to do a good job.
Still the best home grown show on RTE. Can't wait to see Cork slaughter their opposition next week.
