Hotel was as described with the added bonus of being on the Bus 100 Route with a stop on each side of the road outside the hotel. For anybody new to Berlin, like we were, this bus is the local equivalent of a Tourist Hop On/Off bus with alot of the tourist sites on the route.
The hotel reception was busy with several bus-loads of tourists checking in and out but it did not hinder us greatly.
The room was as expected, with all the usual facilities. The tea/coffee facility was replenished regularly and the mini-bar was not excessive.
The breakfast was served in several areas on the ground floor with an ample spread of juices, breads, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, frankfurters, bacon and eggs, (fried, boiled and scrambled). The dining room was open from 6.30am until 10.30 am and was busiest between 8 am and 9 am with tables at a premium but sharing tables was evident throughout.
The hotel had free guest WiFi access with was one of the main reasons we chose to stay there and it was excellent, enhancing our experience, the first to Berlin.
We would have no hesitation returning to Hotel Berlin based on our experience there in July 2007.
