We checked in - and the room was very small, and furbished to a very poor standard considering what we had paid.
I complained about this immediately and the hotel acknowledged that the room standard was poor - and that a lot of their rooms were going to be re-furbished in the near future.
They offered us a complimentary meal in their restaurant on the first night, and moved us into a much nicer room for the 2nd/3rd nights of our stay (although this room was still very small).
So overall - we were satisfied, the service was very good, but I would definately not stay there again. I have stayed at much nicer places in Manhattan for the same amount of money.
