In short - this doesnt do what it says on the tin
Wireless Networking is poor - and difficult to setup. Mac support is awful
The manual is useless
It doesnt play .mkv files - currently the most common source of HD content - so the 1080p output is pointless
To be fair - I did eventually get it setup to do much of what I want - but Im reasonably technical - and it has taken several weeks. If you want something to plug and play - this isnt it. For me it has turned out to be jus a very expensive 500GB drive.

How can they expect average people to figure this stuff out. We currently use MythTV for capture and a wirelessly connected XBox running XBMC for playing. It stutters on some mkv files but overall works brilliantly. However, I'd never recommend it to non-technical people.
