The future.

After having decided that the present was too fleeting to enjoy and that the past was so last year I decided to give "the future" a try recently. I had read all the reviews saying that it would be dire, that it would leave us pennyless and it would cause me, my family and 4 in every 10 neighbours to lose our jobs. However I could not resist as everyone, and especially the media, were talking about nothing else.
Great was my surprise when on arrival I was welcomed with open arms, escorted to my table (which I rented not owned) and given the menu. I started with a light starter made from slices of affordable & efficient civil service. I must say I really enjoyed that dish as it has been a long time since I had seen it on offer in any Irish establishment. This was followed by a main course of affordable housing and a side serving of quality rental accommodation. This was served with a side salad of leafy low tax lettuce. I was delighted to notice that the menu prided itself in the absence of such staples such as 100% mortgages, maxed out credit cards, 3 hour commutes and stuffed politician basted in tax-payers money.
All In all I had a very enjoyable time and will can only conclude that the future's so bright I gotta wear shades.
