Entertaining kids film with the usual evil vs good theme. True love triumphs when Tristan goes in search of a fallen star in a magical land. The star, Yvaine is also pursued by witch played by Michelle Pfeiffer who wishes to eat her heart to obtain everlasting youth. Also in pursuit is Septimus, heir to the dying king's throne should he return with the jewel she's wearing. Robert de Niro plays a pirate captain who the kids really found funny. Ricky Gervais plays a dodgy trader. The movie races along, no major suprises, good acting and script, predictable but enjoyable fantasy film overall and suitable for all the family to view. #movie #film
