Located right in the heart of Christchurch this is very convenient to the shopping area and to the tourist sites of the city. For those using cars it should be noted that there is ashortage of on-street parking, however the hotel do provide secure overnight parking for a rate of $15 per day. Another point worth noting is that many of the streets in the centre are one way and a street map, available from Hire Car companies or any tourist office, is a must.
Christchurch has a compact city centre with Cathedral Square, a hundred yards from the hotel, the focal point. Shopping, Museum and Arts Centre are immediately to hand and the river Avon is right outside the door.
The hotel is clean and efficient and their is a very good restaurant with access from the reception lobby.
All in all this hotel is recommended for a tourist to Christchurch.
