Its ok - smallies enjoyed it. But I don't like the main character, Jason Lee is badly cast. His monotone voice annoyed me. From special effects point a view, the quality of CGI chipmunks is mixed. In close-ups flaws are visible but far off shots are excellent. Its ok - but could not help feeling that with a little bit more effort it could have been so much better.....

My test is always whether the smallies ask to see it again. After missing it in the cinema and badgering me for months, it finally came out on DVD. They watched it once and haven't mentioned it since.
