Yamamori Sushi

Had a beautiful lunch here today. Four pieces of fish-on-rice sushi and a miso soup. Very tasty. Great service and not too expensive. Massive place and equally large menu. Would prefer more variety in basic lunch sushi. Will definitely be getting bento...

Filligans Cucumber Relish

I love this relish: cucumber, onion, pepper, cider vinegar, sugar and spices. It tastes fabulous as an accompaniment to chicken and really lifts a sandwich.

Denny Select Sausages

I really don't know what is "select" about these apart from the expensive packaging. Even at a discounted 2.50 you can get far better locally produced sausages that actually taste of something. And that's the core problem, not that they taste bad, they just taste of nothing. A very disappointing Saturday sausage.

These caught my eye this morning in Supervalu but unfortunately haven't lived up to my expectations. They're a small pot of frozen yoghurt, berries and cereal. So far so good.

Dave and Tina's Free Range Chicken

My neighbours have just started producing free range chicken and I had my first chicken from them last night.  Roasted with a full head off crushed garlic and a sprig of rosemary stuffed inside.  What a pleasure!  I am ordering a chicken...
